This Privacy Policy explains how Sajre Edutech Private Limited ("we", "us", "our", "Sajre Edutech") collects, uses, stores and protects information when you use the EduTechMonitor mobile application (also referred to as "EMonitor") and related web services (together, the "App"). EduTechMonitor is a school management and communication platform provided to schools, their staff, students and parents.

1. Information We Collect

Depending on your role (school admin, teacher, student or parent), the App may collect and process:

Account & identity

• Name, role, class/section, student roll or admission number, staff ID
• Login credentials (username and an encrypted password)
• Contact details of parents/guardians and staff (phone number, email)

School records (entered by the school)

• Attendance records and check-in/check-out times
• Academic records — marks, grades, report cards, homework and assignments
• Fee and payment records maintained by the school
• Profile photographs, where uploaded by the school or user
• Announcements, notices and messages exchanged within the school

Location (school vehicle only)

• Where a school uses vehicle location in the App, the live location of a school vehicle is collected during trips so parents can see the vehicle on its route. We do not track the personal location of students or parents in the background.

Device & technical

• Device push-notification token (to deliver school notifications)
• App version, device type and basic diagnostic/crash information to keep the App working

2. How We Use Information

• To provide the App's features — attendance, academics, fees, communication and, where a school uses it, school vehicle location
• To authenticate users and keep accounts secure
• To send school-related notifications (notices, announcements, alerts)
• To fix problems, improve reliability and provide support
• To meet legal and regulatory obligations

We do not use personal information for advertising, and we never sell or rent it to third parties.

3. Children's Information

EMonitor is intended to be operated by schools and adult users (school staff and parents/guardians). Student information is entered and managed by the school under its own authority and the consent it obtains from parents/guardians. We handle children's information only to provide the service to the school and never for advertising or profiling. Parents/guardians may contact their school, or us, to review or request correction or deletion of a child's information.

4. How Information Is Shared

We share information only as needed to run the App:

• Within your school: information is visible to authorised users of that school according to their role (e.g. a teacher sees their class; a parent sees their own child).
• Service providers: trusted providers that host our servers and deliver notifications, bound by confidentiality and data-protection obligations. This includes Google Firebase Cloud Messaging for push notifications and our cloud hosting provider.
• Legal: where required by law, court order or a valid government request.

We do not share information with data brokers or advertisers.

5. Data Security

• Passwords are stored in encrypted (hashed) form.
• Data is transmitted over secure, encrypted (HTTPS) connections.
• Access is restricted by role, and each school's data is isolated from other schools.
• We apply reasonable technical and organisational safeguards to protect information against unauthorised access, alteration or loss.

6. Data Retention

We retain information for as long as the school's account is active and the App is used to provide services, or as required by law. When a school ends its use of EMonitor, its data is deleted or returned in accordance with our agreement with that school and applicable law.

7. Your Rights

Subject to applicable law, including India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you may request to access, correct, update or delete personal information, or withdraw consent. Because schools control the information entered into EMonitor, please raise such requests with your school first; we will support the school in fulfilling them. You may also contact us directly using the details below.

8. Account & Data Deletion

Individual users do not self-register; accounts are created and managed by the school. To request deletion of an account or associated personal data, contact your school administrator, or write to us at the address below and we will act on it together with your school.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be notified within the App or on our website, and the "Last updated" date above will be revised.
